The company has an asphalt concrete production unit. All products are fully harmonized with the National Technical Specification (CEBS) and certified according to CE. We only collaborate with certified suppliers of aggregates and asphalt, paying particular attention to the final result and the quality of our products.

PRODUCTION:
The raw materials used for the production of asphalt concrete are:
Aggregates:
The aggregates used for the production of asphalt concrete have various sizes and irregular shape. They are classified into 4 main categories sand (0-4mm), stippled plaster (4-8mm), gravel (8-16mm) and gravel (16-31.5mm)
Asphalt:
The different types of asphalt used in Greece due to climatic conditions and in accordance with the European Specifications (EN 12591) for asphalt concrete paving are:
- common 35/50 or 50-70 or 70/100 asphalt paving
- modified asphalt with the use of modifiers (SBS, EVA etc)
Asphalt mix production is based on the following flow chart:
TYPES OF ASPHALT CONCRETE:
The company owns studies of asphalt concrete composition for all types that produce, in accordance with the National Greek technical specifications (ETEP) and the requirements of the international standard EN13108-1:2006/AC: 2008.
TYPE OF BITUMINOUS MIXTURE | |
BM 10 | Fine-grained material. It is rarely used as a leveling layer on existing asphalt without milling in order to fix very small road irregularities. Recommended layer thickness 2 - 3 cm. |
BM 12,5 | It is used as intermediate asphalt smoothing layer as well as asphalt layer since it produces a flawless final surface. Moreover, it can also be used in ditches and other micro-operations. Recommended layer thickness of 2.5 - 4 cm. |
BM 20 | It is used as intermediate asphalt smoothing layer as well as asphalt traffic layer. More thick-grained than BM 12.5. Recommended layer thickness 4 - 6 cm. |
BM 31,5 | It is used as an asphalt base layer as well as an intermediate asphalt smoothing layer. Thick-grained material. Recommended layer thickness 5 - 8 cm. |
Anti-skid Type I | It is used as an anti-skid asphalt surface layer. It is characterized by a high percentage of sand (Dense Composition) and long life service related to the Type II anti-skid. |
Anti-skid Type II | It is used as an anti-skid asphalt surface layer. It is characterized by a small percentage of sand (Open Composition) and high water absorption capacity. It offers greater anti-skid than type I, but has a shorter service life. |
